Main Upgrades from the Previous Year


The new lineup also received new engines this year. The entry-level trim comes with a 6.4L V-8 eTorque Hybrid, while the Series II and III models come with a 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo engine as standard. The Obsidian Package is now available for both Series II and III, and the Series II also comes with seven seats, with an optional captain’s chair in the second row.

Interior Layout and Options


This lineup has the best-in-class passenger volume for all rows and the largest cargo space behind the back row. All trims have three rows of seats, seating 7-8 passengers. There are four colours available for the interior layout: blue agave, global black, sea salt/black, and tupelo/black. The Obsidian Package, available for the Series II and III, comes with black interior accents, a front console cooler, ventilated back seats and premium tinted glass.

Exterior Layout and Options


The Obsidian Package also includes a few exterior features, such as piano black exterior accents, gloss black upper and lower DLO moulding, adjustable roof rails crossbar, and 22-inch polished wheels with black insert. The 4x4 Quadra-Lift air suspension keeps the vehicle 10 cm above the ground. There are eight colours available: Baltic grey, bright white, ember, midnight sky, river rock, rocky mountain, silver zynith, and velvet red.

Technology, Infotainment, and Connectivity


Luxury SUVs are expected to have plenty of hi-tech features, adding to the comfort and safety of the ride. The new Grand Wagoneer doesn’t disappoint, boasting impressive features such as the 23-speaker Industry-first McIntosh 1,375-watt premium audio system. There’s also a McIntosh Reference audio system available for the Series II.

The entire lineup has a 12-inch touchscreen display available, equipped with Uconnect 5. Also, all models are compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other luxury features include Amazon Fire TV with Alexa and a 10.25-inch passenger screen with four functions: co-pilot, entertainment, control over the exterior cameras, and FireTV for Auto.

Safety and Driver-Assistant Features


There are over 120 safety features packed into the new Grand Wagoneer, including adaptive cruise control, head-up display, night vision, drowsy driver detection, active driving assistant, and traffic sign recognition. There’s a 360-degree Surround View camera equipped with pedestrian and animal detection, and also night vision.
