What's New for 2022
While no major redesigns or restyling happened for the 2022 Ram 3500, there were some upgrades to the standard features that improve the comfort and convenience for drivers and passengers. The 3500 now includes the company's latest infotainment software--Uconnect 5--on all but the base Tradesman model. With new content and quicker response times, it will keep drivers connected and keep their eyes on the road.
Several models received slight exterior updates, such as new chrome pieces or grille designs. But another technology feature is an available Trailer 360 View that provides enhanced visibility of trailer surroundings.

The 2022 Ram 3500 is available across Canada in five trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. Starting at $55,145, the entry-level Tradesman provides the capabilities that drivers need, such as a Class V hitch receiver and Heavy Duty Hotchkiss rear suspension, but does not offer many creature comforts.
Drivers searching for the best mix of features and value will want to go with the Laramie trim, which starts at $72,645. As part of the upgrades featured on this model, drivers are treated to tow mirrors that are powered and heated, electronic trailer brake control, the Uconnect 5 system with 8.4-inch touchscreen, heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, nine Alpine speakers with subwoofer, in-cluster display centre, and more.
Ram 3500 Performance
Three engine options are available for the 2022 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty pickup truck, of which the standard is a 6.4-litre HEMI V8 that generates 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque and features FuelSaver Multi-Displacement Technology.
Drivers looking for a performance upgrade have the option of a 6.7-litre Cummins diesel inline-six that impresses with 385 horsepower and a massive 850 lb-ft of torque. There is also a high output version of the Cummins engine in a turbo diesel variety that boasts 420 horsepower and best-in-class 1,075 lb-ft of torque.
When appropriately equipped, the Ram 3500 has a towing capacity of 16,828 kg and a maximum payload of 3,483 kg.
