2021 All-New Jeep Grand Cherokee L - Coming Soon!

Jeep dominates the market for powerful two-row SUVs with impeccable off-road credentials. However, until recently their three-row offerings lagged a little behind. The automaker plans to change all that with the release of the Grand Cherokee L, updating its two-row namesake to provide extra seating capacity and plenty of new high-end features in a full redesign. The 2021 Grand Cherokee L will soon be available at our Milton dealership, and here's why it's set to be a huge success.

Powerful Engine Options

There are two engine options available with the first models in the Grand Cherokee L range, both paired with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The entry level delivers 295 horsepower and 260lb-ft of torque from a chunky 3.6L V6 gas engine, an ample output for everyday driving duties with plenty in reserve. However, moving up to the 5.2L V8 option provides a stunning amount of power, with 360 horsepower and 390lb-ft taking the Grand Cherokee L into genuine high-performance territory. And lastly, Jeep has confirmed that a plugin hybrid 4xe version of the Grand Cherokee L is in the pipeline, bringing high power with low emissions to the off-road party.

Upscale Interior Comfort

While previous Grand Cherokee models had a strong focus on rugged off-road capability, the new L model ups the ante when it comes to interior comfort. The addition of the third row brings the seating capacity up to seven, while upscale options include quilted leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, and an auto-massage function in the front row.

Market-Leading Infotainment and Technology

Adding the third row isn't the only major change for the new L model. The selection of infotainment technology has been revamped is now as high-end as anything on the market. Every trim in the lineup is equipped with a 10.25" digital instrument cluster, backed up by a 8.4" touchscreen display running the Uconnect 5 software. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide smartphone integration as standard, while fully 12 USB ports scattered around the cabin ensure every passenger can stay connected. Optional upgrades include in-built navigation complete with real-time weather and traffic updates, a wireless charging pad, a larger 10.1" touchscreen, and a Wi-Fi hotspot facility.

Active Safety

But the advanced tech doesn't stop with the infotainment. For the release of the L model, Jeep has upgraded the suite of active safety and drive assist features. Key standard and available highlights include: - Forward collision warnings with pedestrian and cyclist detection. - Automated emergency forward braking. - Blind spot monitoring plus rear cross-traffic alerts. - Lane keep assist and lane departure warnings. What's more, Jeep says that the Grand Cherokee L will soon be available with Level 2 self-driving capability, a first for the company on any model.
