2021 Jeep Cherokee Now Available in Milton
The Jeep Cherokee delivers the company's trademark combination of ruggedness and comfort, wrapped up in a compact package that's as happy in the city as it is on the trail. There's a new 2021 model available for sale in our Milton dealership, and here are the key highlights of this latest refresh.
New Additions for 2021
The main change for 2021 is an upgrade to the standard driver assist package, offering more systems on every trim. New standard highlights include forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and more. Also, an 80th Anniversary Edition has been launched, based on the Latitude LUX trim but adding features such as leather seats, 19" wheels, and a panoramic sunroof.
Three Powerful Engine Choices
There are three engine options available with the 2021 Cherokee. At the entry level, a 2.4L inline-four makes 180 horsepower and 171lb-ft of torque, passed through a nine-speed automatic transmission to front-wheel drive (all-wheel is an optional upgrade). Moving up a level, a 3.2L V6 makes 271 horses and 239lb-ft, using the same transmission but including all-wheel drive as standard. This level is perhaps the ideal compromise for economical daily city or highway driving, but with plenty of power in reserve for off-road exploits. But if off-road is absolutely your thing, a 2.0L turbo mill maintains 270hp but pushes the torque up to 295lb-ft, enough to handle all kinds of gradients and surface conditions.
Great Towing Capacity
Unlike some other SUVs with off-road pretensions, the Cherokee can handle heavy loads with ease, and is ideal for a self-contained trip off the pavement. The Trailhawk trim has a towing capacity of up to 2,040kg, far more than most SUVs of this size.
Interior Tech
Base-level 2021 Cherokee models feature a 7" touchscreen running the popular Uconnect infotainment software, providing clear and responsive control. All models feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, while higher trims upgrade the screen size to 8.4".
Interior Space
One hugely positive point of the Cherokee is the ample interior space it provides for its five passengers. Legroom in the front is a generous 104cm, while the second row is still highly comfortable with 102cm.
